Welcome to the Marshall School student-athlete registration page! Whether your student is a first-time athlete or you have registered your student for a Marshall sport in previous years, you will begin the registration process here by logging in or creating your account.

In order to add new students to your family account, you will need their Student ID. If you do not have their Marshall Student ID, your student attends Lakeview Christian Academy or Stella Maris Academy, or you are unable to access your account, please email athletics@marshallschool.org with your student's name, date of birth, and grade level, and we will reply to you with the necessary information within 24-48 hours.

The following steps must be completed BEFORE student-athletes can begin practicing or competing:

___ Complete Registration (with updated emergency contacts and health information)

___ Current MSHSL Sports Physical on File (valid for 3 years)

___ Valid ImPACT Baseline (valid for 2 years)

***Activity Fees are due 2 weeks after the season starts (see below for more information). For Spring Sports, the Activity Fee will be due April 11th.

STUDENT INFORMATION

Once you have logged in, you will be directed through a series of steps asking you to read,  complete and/or electronically sign forms regarding:

  • your student's information (you may need to have their student ID available);
  • the sport for which you are registering (registration is only available for the next season);
  • family contact information (you may list information for up to 2 parents/guardians);
  • your student's medical information (including a sports physical form if needed, the date of their last physical, preferred healthcare facility information, health history & medication list, and 1 or 2 additional emergency contacts);
  • your consent for medical treatment by our medical team (Essentia Health Sports Medicine), and Marshall School's liability waiver and emergency medicine authorization;
  • your review of the 2021-2022 MSHSL Eligibility Brochure with your student;
  • your consent regarding the transportation of your student with other students or other families.

SPORTS PHYSICALS

All Marshall student-athletes, under MSHSL guidelines, are required to have a current Sports Qualifying Physical Examination Medical Eligibility Form on file at the school before a student can practice or compete in their sport (no exceptions). In Minnesota, a Sports Qualifying Physical is valid for 3 years from the time of the physical examination (date of the examination on the form).

If your student needs to complete a Sports Qualifying Physical, you may download and print the form prior to their appointment: 2021-2022 Sports Qualifying Physical Form.

MSHSL STUDENT CODE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be guided through the Minnesota State High School League’s (MSHSL) Eligibility Brochure (available as a link here and a pdf within the form). It’s a rather lengthy document, but you are highly encouraged to read this in the presence of your child so everyone has a clear understanding of what is expected both academically and socially as outlined in the MSHSL Student Code of Responsibilities. Once you have read and understood the brochure, you and your student will be asked to sign and date the MSHSL Eligibility Statement, which is in effect for your student for 365 days from the date of your signatures regardless of whether or not they participate in athletics for each season within that year.

CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT

ImPACT Testing is the online Marshall School concussion management protocol. First-time Marshall student-athletes and those who need to renew their baseline will take an approximate half-hour baseline test that is good for 2 years. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most if not all baseline tests will be administered from home this year. If your student needs to take an ImPACT Baseline, they will receive an email with detailed instructions and a unique link to complete the testing.  You may also access the 2021-2022 ImPACT Testing Information sheet ahead of time. NOTE: Without exception, no student will be permitted to begin practice or compete without a current ImPACT Test on file at the school.

You are also encouraged to read the Concussion Management Recommendations for MSHSL Athletes (included in the MSHSL Eligibility Brochure). While we hope your student will not suffer a concussion, we know that the possibility of a brain injury is an unfortunate possibility when competing in athletics competitions. It’s important for everyone to understand the MSHSL’s Return-to-Play protocol in the event of a concussion. If you have any questions about your student’s Return-to-Play status, please contact our Certified Athletic Trainer.

If you are registering your student for their 1st Sport of the 21-22 school year, you should use the 'Marshall Athletics Registration (1st Sport)' form after selecting or adding the correct student in your account. This form is longer and includes steps that only need to be completed once per year.

If you are registering your student for their 2nd+ Sport of the 21-22 school yearyou should use the 'Marshall Athletics Registration (2nd+ Sport)' form after selecting the correct student in your account. This is a shorter form that does not include the steps that only need to be completed once per year.

**If you registered for Football through Two Harbors, you should use the 'Marshall Athletics Registration (1st Sport)' form for your first Marshall sport of the year. See Mr. Snyder with any questions.

Once you have successfully completed the registration, you will see a “Thank you” pop-up confirming you are done. The Athletics Department will follow up with you if there are any questions.
